NJPIRG Hunger & Homelessness Campaign

• Led hunger and homelessness campaign operations within the New Jersey branch of national nonprofit organization NJPIRG, serving as a director on the state board overlooking a budget of $600,000 to invest between activation materials, marketing, and statewide partners who were able to aid the organization in expanding scope of operations while maintaining compliance with 501(c)(3) regulations
• Organized food drives, clothing drives, and recruitment events on a weekly basis
• Formed coalitions with local community service organizations (Unity Square Community Center, Highland Park Community Center, etc.) and businesses to garner support for campaign projects and conduct drives
• Maintained and monitored relationships with corporate sponsors (LOFT, Dunkin) for activations and ensured nonpartisan representation
• Garnered 300+ volunteer hours from members and 1600+ donations within a campaign cycle (5 months)
• Led a team of roughly 30 people total, along with a select group to travel to Washington D.C. and attain advocacy from state representatives in Congress through direct meetings in the White House, Senate, and House of Representatives locations
